Heron Point was completely redesigned by Mark McCumber back in 1996, and he built upon a brilliant layout to make it perfect. Now the Sea Pines Resort features one of the most creative courses in the world. The fairways now include some tough doglegs which really do require that you pay attention to the course planner so you can be in position to attack the well bunkered greens. With fluctuating elevations and exciting greens, there is no doubt that the Heron Point Course at Sea Pines Resort is worthy of its universal praise.
