When the course opened in 1989 it was hailed as the best new course in the state, and since then the River Hills Golf and Country Club has built upon its loyal fan base. Boasting an impressive amount of water and soaring trees throughout the layout, the course is as admirable as it is enjoyable. The slope off the tips is 136, but our impression is of a course that is eminently playable for the less experienced golfer. It's got some fine holes: notably the double dogleg 17th and the par 3, 190 yard 12th which can very tough, depending on pin placement.
