Known for his brilliant teaching abilities, Leadbetter’s course at Mission Hills demonstrates his understanding of a good and testing golf course. Featuring a layout which will require every club in the bag, golfers can expect to find themselves challenged to use all their accuracy and finesse in order to progress. Due to the strategically placed bunkers and threatening doglegs, there is no such thing as an easy route around this course which forces golfers to contemplate their tactical approach to the green. A good example of how the holes manifest themselves can be found at the sixteenth hole which features a water carry to an island green, surrounded by creeks and dramatic elevations.
