Prior to the renovation the course worked in the same fashion as it had done when it was built in 1967 and as a result drainage had been a major issue, but now the course is playable all year round and doesn’t turn into a swimming pool when the rain starts to fall. Upon its reopening after the renovation the Hillcrest Golf and Country Club was met by a wave of praise, all of which admired the lush layout which overflows with creativity and ingenuity. Perhaps the island eighteenth hole is the most memorable of the course, but with so many positive attributes it is very hard to decide.
